Truly Life Changing Gift of a Smile
Hello, My name is Janice, back in March of 2016 I decided to have 14 teeth pulled in preparation for a top denture and lower partial because I couldn’t afford crowns, root canals and a bridge. I quickly found out that my palate is not normal, I was told most people have a rounded palate but mine is rather flat and a little rounded which has caused problems with lack of suction and causing a gag reflex. My lower gums have receded over the years to where it would be very hard for me to wear a lower denture. Since then I have had nothing but problems with my top denture and now my partial is a problem because of my teeth decaying. Because of all these problems and discomforts it is very painful for me to eat, I have lost about 30 pounds and I cannot seem to gain any of it back. I am raising my 12 year old granddaughter and I would love to be able to give her a more happier and healthier grandmother that she can depend on and enjoy simple things like having a normal meal together.
I think I would be a good candidate for the $25K Smile Giveaway because at this point my best chance for normalcy is to start over with 1st Choice Dental Care. I would love to have a pretty smile but just being able to eat comfortably would be a blessing. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear from you.
Sonny M. - As told by his wife, Gail
I’m married to a funny man. A non-stop funny man, who continuously cracks jokes (the roll-your-eyes kind), does impressions, sings silly songs, and dances like a fool to any song, day after day, whether I’m in the mood or not…….lol.
He was born with a bone disease called osteochondromatosis, a condition that causes multiple benign tumors of cartilage projecting from his bones. He grew up with noticeable crookedness in his arms and legs. The tumors have caused so much pain over the years, and he’s had many surgeries on them, the first at just 6 months old.
As a child, he learned to take the focus off his uniqueness by turning to comedy and magic. He has always loved telling stories and doing impressions, and particularly drives us nuts with his Forrest Gump and Jimmy Stewart bits. He claims he won several school talent shows with those and doesn’t want to lose his skills! He performed his first magic trick at age 3 and later made a career as a magician for many years in Memphis and at Graceland (the home of the undisputed King of Rock and Roll ☺),
He can converse with anyone, on about any subject, but especially gets a kick out of making people laugh and smile. He knows when he smiles back it’s not his best impression, with several teeth missing, but over the years other priorities have taken over…..lots of bone and other surgeries. And cancer treatment (he is a survivor!!!).
He’s hopeful this contest is an opportunity to finally fix his smile, keep us rolling our eyes at his goofiness, and…………….proudly smile back at us (^_^).

Hey, I'm Heather S. and I would like to nominate my husband Raymond. First of all, I would like to say thank you for this opportunity to win this giveaway! It would truly be a blessing. My husband has always been kind of self conscious about his smile since his teeth aren't the best and he does have a few things wrong with most of them that are left. He actually just lost a front tooth in a wreck at the beginning of may, and then had hip surgery the day after his wreck. Thankfully, he is still with me and his 3 children. I would just like to cheer him back up a bit since he isn't able to use his left leg really until July.

I am so grateful for this opportunity! I want to move forward in life and my career. Having to save so much money while financially helping my mom and brother is putting everything on hold for me at the moment. After dieing three in a half years ago I have changed my life but am still very unconfident because of my smile. I want to be successful and be there for my nephew but I have to work 50 or more hours a week to save for this dental work.1st choice dental is the place I felt I needed to come to and what an awesome blessing this dentistry has been!
